St Patricks Day

St Patrick's Day is on the 17th of March and is celebrated around the world. Everyone and everywhere turns green to celebrate the Irish Patrons Saints day. It has also been known to be called St Pattys Day in America and Paddys Day in Ireland.

 

 

 

The Feast of St Patrick (Irish: Lá Fhéile Pádraig ) is as much a cultural event as it is a religious event around the world. Saint Patrick (385- 461 AD) is believed to have driven all the snakes out of Ireland. He was a 5th century Welsh missionary who was kidnapped from his home and sold into slavery in Ireland, looking after farm animals for about 6 years, before escaping and going home to his family. He later returned to Ireland and converted the country to Christianity.

The 17th of March is widely believed to be the date of the death of St Patrick, and is remembered and celebrated worldwide, where everyone wants to be Irish for the day. Show your Irish pride with these cool and unique designs, sure to make you the envy of all your friends on St Patties Day.
